Try this 5 Step DIY Spa-Level Facial at Home
Are you looking to spruce up your skincare routine? Are you wanting your skin to feel like you’ve just left a spa? Well look no further! You can have just that, in the comfort of your own home.
Whilst a lot of people can’t really understand why we need multiple products to assist with our skin, did you ever wonder why your skin felt so ridiculously smooth and looked so glowy when you left the spa for that epic facial you wanted?
Alright, now that you’re ready for your nightly facial, let's get into the products.
What you will need:
Cleanser – Firstly, you will need to clean your skin before anything else occurs. Once you have cleansed, go ahead and cleanse one more time; We need a double cleansed face! Cleansing your skin is going to remove dirt, bacteria and makeup, help boost hydration, brighten the skins appearance, reduce over production of sebum and provides a subtle, soft exfoliant alternative. I would recommend our Iso Cleanser as it naturally exfoliates the skin, and will fight against all the nasty surface bacteria, resulting in fewer blemishes.
Pink Clay Mask – This lil' beauty is what every human being needs in their life! This silky-smooth powder activates immediately once mixed with water and forms a luscious paste that glides onto the face and is delicate on irritated and inflamed skin, helping to reduce and soothe acne and prevent breakouts. Also helps detoxify, soothe and brighten the skin, tightens pores, helps reduce acne, eczema and rosacea. This mask can be used 1 to 2 times a week.
Mix a 1:1 ratio of powder and water to form the paste. Once ready, “paint” your face with your application brush. Leave your mask on for 10-20 minutes; once it is completely white and dry, you can then remove with your MRP (make-up remover pad) using just water. Once all clean, onto the next step.
Face Toning Mist – This mist is extremely refreshing to apply to the skin, improving absorption of serums and moisturisers, an added hydration layer and can also be used pre & post makeup as a setting spray. Using this mist is very refreshing too, can be used throughout the day for a quick spritz of hydration.
Spray all over the face and neck area for a dewy feeling.
Awaken Intensive Eye Cream – We strongly encourage all ages, to be using a good quality eye cream right now. With harsh environments we live in, we need to take care of, not just our skin, but the super delicate skin around our eyes. A good eye cream is needed, just as much as any other skincare product.
Our lush eye cream encourages nourishment and hydration, helps prevent dullness, brightens eyes appearance, aids in reducing puffiness & dark circles whilst reducing fine lines & wrinkles. Containing Cucumber Oil which soothes and reduces puffiness, and Native Lemon Aspen to strengthen the capillary walls.
Gently, dab and push the product into the eye area skin. Do NOT rub your eyes viciously like a crazy person, trying to use a Ouija board. A little of this product goes a long way, so use sparingly.
Serum/Elixir – Serums are a MUST in my eyes (not literally in my eyes haha). They are the be all and end all. Serums contain a high concentration of antioxidants, minerals, they stimulate your natural collagen productions, provide intense hydration properties, help reduce appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, boots the skins moisture retention ability…the list goes on!
ALL skin types should be using a serum, even if you are someone who is oily. If you are an oily/combo skin type, you just need to go for a water-based serum, such as our Hyaluronic Collagen Serum or our Brighten & Revive Serum. If you are extremely dry and want more of an oil-based serum, you would benefit from our Anti-ageing Elixir. Serums are made up of smaller molecules, meaning they penetrate deeper into the skin a lot further than moisturiser.
On your clean skin and once your eye cream has been on for a few minutes, spray your face with your Face Toning Mist, or slightly dampen your fingers, then apply your serum to your hand and massage into the skin. Remembering to massage in an upward motion, so you’re getting underneath your hair follicles.
Moisturiser or Cream – Last but not least, time to moisturise that pretty face. Once your serum/elixir has been sitting for 2-3 minutes you can then apply your cream, this is to avoid mixing of the properties.
Your moisturiser is going to hydrate the top layer of the skin, help nourish dry & lacklustre skin, promote a healthy vibrant appearance, and improve elasticity & firmness.
Apply your moisturiser/cream to the skin, massaging again, in an upward motion.
Now your skin is prepped and ready for what lies ahead. Let us know how you get on with this facial at home and if you have any questions regarding any of our all natural & organic products. We would love to hear from you!
Enjoy! X
